Construction Features:
External polyethelyne float chamber, all brass vertical
acting float controller, hydraulic pilot operated external float valve
and all mounting brackets and hardware of stainless steel construction.
Operation:
Simple rise and fall of float controls 'on' & 'off'
operation of hydraulic valve. The model Aqua-Float "100" is furnished in
a 1" size valve but is customizable in larger and smaller sizes if desired.
Installation:
This unit can be installed directly into the bottom of
the cooling tower basin with a tank adaptor or into the drain tee, whichever
is easier. All fittings and tank adaptors are available from our stock.
The float control should be mounted above the high water level in the basin
and the water pressure at the float control should be equal to or greater
than the pressure at the valve inlet. The float is set for approximately
1-1½" operating differential. Operating differential can be varied
by simply removing two cotter keys from the float rod and readjusting the
stop collar. Installation is simple and a 'U' strap at the top of the housing
is usually sufficient support for the float chamber after piping is comleted.*
*The Aqua-Float 100 kit consists of an external float chamber, control valve and float controller. Customer to furnish PVC fittings, PVC piping, copper tubing, 'U' strap float chamber support and connections to tower basin.
