Ken is a second generation native of Southern California. He was born in Los Angeles CA. and attended Glendale High School, Glendale Union College and USC/ Mechanical Engineering. He continued postgraduate engineering courses at UCLA specializing in refrigeration and HVAC. He worked for various companies in consulting engineering for seven years.
Ken started his first job as a sales engineer in 1957 selling Baltimore Aircoil Company for the original BAC Representative in Southern California.
He continued as a sales engineer and regional sales manager until 1966. At that time he started the K. H. WATTS Co., Inc., the exclusive BAC representative in Southern California and Southern Nevada.
He is presently a life member of ASHRAE, a member of the Association of Energy Engineers, and a member of Refrigerating Engineer Technical Association. He joined the American Society of Refrigerating Engineers in 1956, which merged with ASHRAE two years later. He has been a member of ASHRAE for over 40 years.
He was the founder and chapter president of Orange Empire Chapter of ASHRAE in 1968 and the region X membership chairman from 1970 - 1973. He was also a member of ASHRAE TC Weather Data Committee in 1972 and a member of the Cooling Tower Institute.
